Personal Experience: My Experience At Daytona State College

To start off, I am a senior in high school and have always loved to learn about anatomy and physiology. Some interesting facts about myself is that I bowl on the schools girls teams, I am currently a dual enrolled student at Daytona State College, and I love learning about the human body and how it functions. Some other facts about me is that I have always loved helping people so I decided to pursue a career in nursing after high school, and I am really bad at public speaking. I started bowling when I was in 4th grade and it was fun for a little while and then I quit because I thought it was lame. At the beginning of last year I joined the high school team to try it out again to see if I liked it and I did. I didn’t do well at all at first but I started getting better and we went to states but lost. Not to brag but I am pretty good at bowling, its not a famous sport or anything but it’s something that is fun to do for me. Once I stopped going every week I didn’t do as well like when I went bowling a couple of weeks ago I scored low but it is something I will have to keep up at. I could have practiced my speech all night long and once I get up in front of the class my mind goes blank and I shake and stumble over my words. It is truly embarrassing for me because if I am sitting at my seat and talking to everyone its no big deal but one I’m up in front and all eyes are on me I get so scared. That is the number one thing I have to overcome if I want become a nurse. With hard work and determination I know I can.
