There are no distinctions between what is true and what is false. Well in some cases this maybe incorrect. One may ask how any decision is based upon something that is only true, if there is nothing to distinguish what is true from what is false. There is reasoning, perception and emotion to deal with processing the facts from a source in which tells lies. So first a person would have to know the real definition of each of these terms. Truth according to many dictionaries is a factual act or actuality. The word false is an uttering or declaring what is untrue. Then after the meanings of true and false have been justified, there can be an evaluation of this question. But if a person wants to contrast the two then it is a matter of how the human mind comprehends certain information. The argument that is going to be presented is based around the area of knowledge, ways of knowing, and also around an individual and the community.
Throughout the community, there really is no other way to advance and to be fortunate in today's toxic environment. There are con artists that grow up in different associations just to manipulate the truth and this is awful for the community in which people live in. Often that is what we mean when we say truth by contrast with false. In the Baptist community, the King James Version of the Holy Bible, God's written word is to be everyman guidance of what is true and false, right and wrong, and good and evil. In I John 2:21, the Bible tells us “that no lie is of the truth”. Dealing with the human science, humans only have a glimpse of what is to come with the finite minds we have. We as humans cannot grasp the big picture. On the other hand, God knows all things; present, past, and future. This is the truth ...

... individual has the capacity to allow their own perception and reasoning come to play in making a choice to what is right and what is wrong. The people must use their own perception and beliefs to evaluate all kinds of truths which the public has settled in our heads to believe in. The truth will always prevail and false teachings will be taught but it is up to the public to use their good morals and reasoning to not be influence by what sounds good. In other words, the truth cannot be false and a lie cannot be of the truth.

The truth of the world is something that is debatable on how to reach, and what it actually
Truth is in the eye of the beholder. Or is it? Questions regarding the nature of truth have always been central to not only philosophers, but all men (and women, of course) who possess any desire for knowledge. For while truth itself is an elusive concept, it is also the underlying theme of all science -- which is the basis of knowledge -- and so the seeker of learning must first discover his own truth about the world; without a strong belief, the slippery nature of truth will only serve to confuse and mislead the student of life. A person who is lacking a basic understanding of truth can never fully grasp the fine distinction between appearance and reality, yet the ability to separate the two is essential to anyone interested in knowledge at a higher level, where appearances lead only to dead ends. Or do they? And who says appearance is not reality? At the heart of this matter is the conflict between truth as an absolute and the truth of the senses; while this may seem like a trivial matter (truth is true, isn't it?), it is anything but.
However, just like the message prior, it can be manipulated for personal gain. This is commonly seen in politics and history. Infact it can be happening right now. Be wary of the media and propaganda. Determine the difference between fact and opinion.
“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't goin' away”- Elvis Presley. In my mind, truth is defined as being in accordance with fact or reality. There will always be truth to every situation, as it is only possible for something to occur in one specific way. The problem encompassing the idea of truth is the reality that only one retelling of a specific situation can be the full truth. Each individual interprets situations differently. For this reason, in order for the truth to be told, one must simply state what was seen, leaving their personal emotions out of the situation. A story can be said to be true when it accurately portrays the account of which is being told.
Truth by dictionary definition is a wholly objective concept: it’s described as “that that is in accordance with the fact or reality,” assuming a single reality-defined as the conjectured state of events-viewed through an omniscient and impartial lens. However once you introduce individual humans with all their prejudices into the equation the truth becomes subjective, every person allowing their personal set of ideals to cloud their judgement and act on their definition of the “truth”, whatever it may be. This unfortunate yet inescapable quality of humans is explored in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, a novel in which each character’s set of ideals and prejudices governs their behaviours and allows it to get in the way of the truth. Set
and where the truth is hidden and difficult to see. One can see by the
The communication process has many steps involved that people do not take into consideration when they hear or read something. To go from an actual event to the sources, and messages, and to the communicator, and their interpreted message, and finally to the audience is not a simple process. With all the information that is lost or gained through this process who knows what to believe!
There are many philosophical stories that try to explain the meaning of true and false (Armour-Garb 258). Human beings have to find a way of communicating with each other. The process of determining what has been said, presented or occurred is true is referred to as the criterion of truth (Kulvicki 20). There are various procedures to determine the criterion of truth where different scholars have developed varying claims on what should be concealed as truth and false. In most cases, for a long time, the truth has been identified to be related to facts, reality or specific standards and originality (Armour-Garb 262). Modern definitions of truth revolve around authenticity based on factual or logical evidence. The concept of truth has created debate among philosophers, scholars, in art and religion (Kulvicki 259). Most philosophers point that the concept of truth can only be discussed on its terms that it cannot be described in any other context. In this
...he end, the truth will always find the light and the good will always out do the bad.
Can we truly know when something can be considered true or false. The truth can be something that appeals to a person, or that it can reason with a person's knowledge that they have already develop. The knowledge we possess can shape the way we think, so does this also change the in the truth that a person sees. Our knowledge also limits us to what we considered to be true. In our century every year we discover something new so our truth is constantly changing. One of the conflicts that also comes to mind when talking about true and false is whether a true belief counts as knowledge depends on inherently imprecise judgments concerning whether the believer is accidentally right. To analyze the claim I am going to look at the three different theories of truth and how in everything true there is a false aspect to it. The theories are first, the correspondence theory. Second, coherence theory, and lastly pragmatic theory.
Should we be able to believe what we want as long as we don’t act on
The title as given by IB implies that there is a difference between something that is true and something that is believed to be true. It suggests that different ways of knowing can portray a truth. This point is problematic, because I do not think that something that is believed to be true and truth itself can be differentiated. In fact, I believe that it is difficult to acquire logical, unbiased truth; I think that the closest man can gather about truth can also be called “consistent knowledge”, meaning that the information is knowledge that is unchanging. To what extent can different ways of knowing affect a display of truth?
Truth can be defined as conformity to reality or actuality and in order for something to be “true” it must be public, eternal, and independent. If the “truth” does not follow these guidelines then it cannot be “true.” Obviously in contrary anything that goes against the boundaries of “truth” is inevitably false. True and false, in many cases does not seem to be a simple black and white situation, there could sometimes be no grounds to decide what is true and what is false. All truths are a matter of opinion. Truth is relative to culture, historical era, language, and society. All the truths that we know are subjective truths (i.e. mind-dependent truths) and there is nothing more to truth than what we are willing to assert as true (Hammerton, Matthew). A thing to me can be true while for the other person it may not be true. So it depends from person to person and here the role of perception comes into play. As truth is a vital part of our knowledge, the distinctions between what is true and what is false, shape and form the way we think and should therefore be considered of utmost importance. We often face this situation in real life through our learning curves and our pursuit of knowledge to distinguish between what is true and what is false. The idea of there being an absolute truth or also known as universal truth has been debated for centuries. It depends on many factors such as reason, perception and emotion.
The cry is often heard and the complaint made of the abundance of religious information by which we are bombarded and yet they are so many who are spiritually blind. Spiritual blindness is more often than not a self inflicted disorder because people willfully refuse to believe and Paul states it thus, “…because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they believe a lie.” (2 Thessalonians 2:10b-11). When people keep practicing rejection of the truth it becomes normal for them to accept and become comfortable with lies. People are blind to the truth of God’s word and are not recognizing the warning signs even though they are prevalent and pronounced because Satan has blinded the eyes of the unbelieving world. We have now reached the stage where spiritually the horns are sounding and we do not hear, the red lights are flashing and we do not see and our sense of danger has been curtailed. What follows next is all but
What exactly is truth? What is true? These questions are two completely different questions. In order to answer what is true, you must first determine what truth actually is. If we look in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, we see the definition that says “The things that are true”. This is not what we are looking for in a definition of this word, but really there is no defining line between what is true, and what is not.
