My Trip to Dubai
Have you ever wanted to see the world’s richest country? That is covered with exotic beaches. Food that will defiantly cure your taste buds. Luxurious cars everywhere you turned your head. Seeing different people from all over the world coming to visit. A place that’ll for sure entertain you. To get a taste of this lifestyle that’s overseas, you need to visit Dubai.

Taking that flight was nothing like the flights I’ve taken before. I had just recently celebrated my fourteenth birthday a week before being told that we were taking a trip. It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. We decided that we would head out and explore what Dubai had to offer to us. We went to have breakfast and decided to go take a city bus tour. On our way there we decided to walk around and just take in the image we were seeing. The sun was shining in the sky, the wind was blowing its natural AC, no cars were honking, and it was just utterly peaceful. Continuing walking, we stumbled upon one of its famous malls. This mall was completely different than the one back home. One of the biggest malls that I have ever seen. This mall was three stories tall, with a movie theater with movies that haven’t come out yet in the U.S. An aquarium filled with different fish, crabs, sea horses, stingrays, and even sharks. This mall, even had a lower level as well with more stores and even a ski lounge right in the middle.

We’ve gotten ourselves another cab and decided that we wanted to learn more about the culture we’re visiting. Mainly wanted to know about the food, we were still hungry. They had restaurants that we were familiar with but there was something different about them. In this country, they do not eat pork. It’s against their religion. Some of the common food places like McDonald’s, Burger King, and so on, didn’t have pork or chicken. My dad even brought KFC and they made rice as an exception.
