Open Question: How might the Fluid versus Fixed study results be applied to your own life? There have been many discussions where fluid and fixed studies applied in people’s own life. In psychology, the term fluid means that when you work harder, you get more. On the other hand, the term fixed defines that when you have reached your limit, no matter how hard you try, that is it. This paper articulates that the fluid versus fixed studies are applied in our own life through challenges, effort, success and criticism. I believe that the study of fluid has to do with the way an individual can solve new problems, use logic in new situations and identify problems. In addition, they have the ability to think on your feet, think outside the box, and develop creative approaches in new situations. Fluid studies can be applied through …show more content…
For example, in a job, I have worked at retail and with this job, I learned how to organize clothes and deal with customers at the same time. Furthermore, when a customer has a problem, I am able to help solve what they needed. With this in mind, the harder I work to help customers, the more I am able to get recognized at work and earn commission, which leads to more money earned on my paycheck. The more money a person earns, the greater chance of buying a variety of things they had in mind. This relates to how fluid studies embraces challenges, in order for the induvial to improve, they embrace challenges because they know that they will come out stronger on the other side. Another example is applied to school; the more you study, the higher your grades and in sports; the more you train, the better you get and the more you are experienced to compete in a game. Therefore, in a game, the harder you try, the greater chance of winning. Fluid studies leads to a desire to
institutions, and the law but is a multiplicative force that is inherent in the relations existing at all levels of a society. It is complex and productive and circulates in every direction, producing all sorts of results. Foucault’s claim of power’s complex, productive, and relational nature versus the traditional top-down, coercive understanding of it is grounded in a larger argument regarding the relationship between knowledge and power. He uses the history of sexuality to explicate this relationship

direct count, viable count, and turbidity study. Abstract The goal for using all three enumeration techniques is to not only understand direct count, viable count, and turbidity study, it is to also understand the advantages and disadvantages of each so that researchers can use them in the most efficient ways when studying microorganisms. The idea was that if the direct count gives a certain number of microorganisms, then the viable count and turbidity study should also give us similar number outcomes
Chapter 1: Introduction 1.1 Background of study Induction Motors are widely used in industrial applications. It has been reported that they have a motor market share of approximately 80 percent. Their popularity stems from robust construction, low cost and ease of maintenance. As induction motors operate at a constant speed, they provide efficient operation in industrial applications if the loads that they drive remain fairly constant. However, the loads vary when the process conditions change during
pollutants and what is their composition? According to studies done by Brigham Young University on air pollution, air pollutants are made up of sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, ozone, and lead (Health Problems 3). They are in particulate form meaning these compounds are particles 10 microns in size -- i.e., the diameter of an average human hair. In fact, most sources agree that these are the main components of outdoor, versus indoor, air pollution. Locally, the state of
