Open Question: How might the Fluid versus Fixed study results be applied to your own life? There have been many discussions where fluid and fixed studies applied in people’s own life. In psychology, the term fluid means that when you work harder, you get more. On the other hand, the term fixed defines that when you have reached your limit, no matter how hard you try, that is it. This paper articulates that the fluid versus fixed studies are applied in our own life through challenges, effort, success and criticism. I believe that the study of fluid has to do with the way an individual can solve new problems, use logic in new situations and identify problems. For example, in a job, I have worked at retail and with this job, I learned how to organize clothes and deal with customers at the same time. Furthermore, when a customer has a problem, I am able to help solve what they needed. With this in mind, the harder I work to help customers, the more I am able to get recognized at work and earn commission, which leads to more money earned on my paycheck. The more money a person earns, the greater chance of buying a variety of things they had in mind. This relates to how fluid studies embraces challenges, in order for the induvial to improve, they embrace challenges because they know that they will come out stronger on the other side. Another example is applied to school; the more you study, the higher your grades and in sports; the more you train, the better you get and the more you are experienced to compete in a game.
