Recommended: Short essay significance of creativity in education

Creativity is one’s ability to create new and original ideas for multiple purposes have it be to find a way around a problem or just for sheer entertainment. Human creativity has been an essential part to surviving and thriving throughout history. However, according to the 2010 Torrance Test, a test of creativity that is administered to millions of people worldwide, creativity has declined steadily since 1990 especially in America. In order to maintain human ingenuity and continue to find better solutions for some of today’s biggest problems, we need our future generations to be more creative. The best way to help save creativity and further evolve our ingenuity would be for the school board to create a class in creativity for our school.
The steady decline in creativity could be one of the greatest problems we face, creativity is an essential part in our everyday survival and the proliferation of our race.The decrease in our worldwide …show more content…

Some may argue that the hiring of a new teacher in creativity thinking would be too detrimental to our budget, however creative thinking is as much as necessity to our upcoming generation as math and science. If a new teacher would break the budget, the solution could be to make some budget cutbacks or to find a teacher who’s already in the district to take up the creative thinking class instead of hiring a new one. Additionally, some may argue that you can’t teach creativity, however a creative thinking class would work mostly on uncovering one 's inner creativity instead of teaching it. Allowing a student to be creative in their own ways and discovering their inner creativity would be the best ways the class could teach the students. Despite the cons of a creative thinking class, it’s benefits prove to outweigh them, as well as it could prove to be the solution to our country’s decline in
