Harry Potter Series Reflection

It 's been over seven years since I had started this series.

When I first started this series, I had little knowledge of how much of a phenomenon this series was aside from it had very successful and popular film adaptations. While I recall little from back then, I do remember immensely enjoying the first two books when I read them. With full intentions to continue, I sadly had to stop due to being raised in a religious household, so I was told not to read or watch anything Harry Potter (but all other fantasy series, apparently, were okay?), so I had to put the series on hold.

Fortunately, I made my inevitable return to this series a little more than a year ago after maturing and gaining more independency over my decisions, as well as my parents not being as anal as to what they tell me to do and what not to do. I returned to the series during my junior year of high school, and it was some of the best time I’ve ever had while reading. Not once, nor twice, but seven times (I find this hilarious due to how prominent the number seven is in this series). I can attest this to Rowling 's brilliant development of her characters, which were without a doubt the strongest part of not just this book, but also the entire Harry Potter series. I found it impressive to see just how these relationships were put to the test in this novel, how there was a lot of doubt surrounding the characters’ relationships and motivations. The development of Dumbledore especially was particularly interesting, and I 'm glad Rowling was able to present these characters in these new ways. This shake-up between the characters ' relationships and how that effected things was really great to see since there wasn 't any drama like this before in the series, or, at least, not to my
