The field of public health is constantly evolving and improving itself in order to provide up to date information and treatment. This is required to assure the health and well-being of all individuals to the best of our knowledge. Prior to our modern society, the Paleolithic period, known for their hunter-gatherer methods, and the Neolithic period, known for the rise of agriculture, are both important historical eras in which we have learned what is beneficial and what is a nuisance to our health.
