Expository Essay Junior high graduates all fear the day of becoming a freshman when transitioning into high school. It’s the four years of their life that’ll prepare them for their future where they won’t forget one single moment. With the media nowadays, many incoming freshmen are influenced with the negative things about high school, which are all probably false and stereotyped. In order to be successful in high school, students should consider the following topics: complete all homework assignments, study for tests/quizzes, and get involved by joining clubs. They are great for making new friends, as the people, who join the same club, has the same interests. Many freshmen make all their friends by joining clubs. Joining a club can help improve or gain leadership skills. For example, a girl, who is a freshman, joins a club, such as DECA. The girl is very bashful, but affable. By joining a club, overtime, she became more confident and outgoing. Organizational clubs such as DECA, FBLA, and Key Club are known around the world, and colleges look into that. Some clubs even offer scholarships when students joined all four years throughout high school. This doesn’t mean to join a specific club who gives out scholarships.
