To present the best survival in a zombie apocalypse, driving to a rural area would help you stay alive. If a zombie apocalypse strikes Ashland during school, a student should find a friend and run outside. Running to the cafeteria and finding any set of car keys would be the next step for survival. And finally, drive to a rural area such as birney.
If a zombie apocalypse were to happen, a student should find someone to stay with them at all times. If they were to get hurt and were by themselves, no one would help them due to the fact that they’re alone and defenseless. That's the importance about having someone with them at all times. “Because the living dead freeze solid” (122), when word starting to get out that there were zombies, people’s first instinct was to go north. Family after family packed their belongings and ventured to campsites throughout northern Canada or wherever they felt was cold enough to escape the plague. Many people were still trying to hold on to their materialistic ways and brought “hair dryers, GameCubes, [and] laptops by the dozen” (123) with them to the campsites. These families realized very quickly that these items were not beneficial for their survival. Those that did survive the cold Canadian winters were not those who brought the most belongings, but those who had the will power to survive. As days got colder, people were forced to steal from each other, kill each other, and eventually eat each other. The only way to succeed during this brutal time was to go into this ultimate survival mode. “Eventually the sun did come out, the weather began to warm, the snow finally began to melt” and those that were left were the ones that were had the determination to survive (129).
The United States of America has more serial killers living in and on it's territory, than any other place in the world. Almost eighty-five percent of serial killers are housed in America. While most serial killers are men, women account for eight percent of the eighty-five in our country. Serial killers are very sick, distraught human beings when compared to others; the reasoning behind this tends to lean towards the mental stability and psychological makeup of the serial killer. Many believe for this very mighty superstorm to be engineered storm by the United States government. This hurricane was called “Hurricane Sandy”. The president of the United States is to believed to man make this storm because he wanted to become President of the United States. This certainly did help him because he did end up winning. No one was prepared for the devastations caused by Hurricane Katrina. Most of the damages was caused after the levees breeched. After the levees breeched the water started to rise over the roof tops of the homes and buildings in New Orleans, Gulf Coast, and surrounding areas. Thousands of lives were lost, and millions lost their proprieties. Many people did not have flood insurance and had to depend on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and charitable groups such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army for financial assistance.

According to the authors, the zombie represents much more than just a fear, it represents a loss of oneself to many different things, primarily to a capitalist society. The authors have come to the conclusion that humans have a fear of what they cannot control, and that is why the zombie is so big in entertainment. Imagine waking up in a desolate world, you’re all alone. Until you look out the window and see a neighbor staggering down the street, and realize something's not right. This week seemed busier than usual with the additional children being around the center for the spring break. Most of the spring breakers were children that attend public school. I was asked to assist with the spring breakers at one point throughout the week. They were a very entertaining and energetic group, so it was a fun experience interacting with them. As for my class, we had a lot of fun preparing for the Easter weekend. We sang songs, hop around like a bunny, read some Easter books and we even had a surprise visit from our special guest for the week, an actual rabbit.
