Dear Editor, even though there are many perks to finishing high school and completing Year 12 exams, some students feel ready to leave school before the end of Year 12. They feel confident enough that they will survive in the economy but, they`re all wrong. There is a low chance that those students will have a bright future.
The urge to leave school early could be caused by school being too hard, having too much homework, social life, home life or problems with friends. Bullying and cyberbullying can also be one of the reasons why a student drops out. However, kids are just too young to make a decision that could damage their future. Completing Year 12 gives students an opportunity to have open career choices and a brighter future.

I believe that I should be one of the few that gets to sit in a chair. Considering the fact that there will be multiple students writing this to you, I hope to persuade you into thinking that I should be able to sit in a chair.
When students are in high school, is the end, they are finally free after 13 years of schooling, but for many people graduating from high school is just the beginning. After graduating from high school, students are faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to continue on with their education. And if they do decide to continue on with their education, what form of education will they choose. There are a variety of different options open to students each accompanied by their own pros and cons. These options include; no school, 4-year university, or 2-year community college.
I remember the first few days of move in. It was hot and gross. Georgia, Z, and Austin were the first to move in. The day the whole crew moved in was god damn shit show to say the least. I think I helped loft over half the floors' bed. The first house meeting was the only one with everyone there. I believe the first words out of my mouth were "Fuck It".

Post-Secondary education can be a very important aspect to an individual’s life. If a university degree gives us more job opportunities and a better salary, why are students leaving their universities and not finishing their degrees? There are many macro and micro sociological factors that students deal with every day. Macro sociological factors are events or predicaments that the individual has no control over (Steckley, 2014). Micro sociological factors are events that an individual does have control over (Steckley, 2014). The students who are leaving without finishing their degrees are faced with many social and economic problems that require their attention and have priority over school.
Even though there are financial reasons that men and women drop out from school, there are other reason as well to why they do it. Sometimes, they hang out with the wrong crowd of friends and make poor choices. They decide to join gangs and leave school because they decide that being in a gang is more important. The completion of high school is the beginning of adult life. Entitlement to public education ends, and young people and their families are faced with many options and decisions about the future. The most common choices for the future are pursuing vocational training or further academic education, getting a job, and living independently.
High school can be tough for many teenagers. Some students may feel as if the classes they are taking are boring or the material being taught will not help them later on in life. These students begin to not show up for class and then their grades start lowering drastically. Next, these students come up with the idea that dropping out is the easiest and fastest way to escape all the stress that is caused by academics. However, they need to start looking at the bigger picture and asking themselves if quitting school is going to help them reach their personal goals. Most people want to live a life filled with laughter and have the least amount of trouble as possible. Dropping out of high school will not bring joy to anyone, it will only affect the dropout and also our society in a negative way.

Because of adolescence, they may think that school is “nothing”, it is just a waste of time. Also, facts have been saying that more and more students are being independent related to the school. A good reason that they are independent is that they want to have their own money. When an individual makes the conscious decision to drop out of high school, many times the decision is made without regard to the consequences that can ensue. There are many effects of the decision on the individual, their families, and society as a whole. The leading reasons for dropping out of high school surround academic difficulty and failure, poor attendance, being held back, disengagement from school, and other life factors (Convisor, n.d.). This is an indication that most of these teens do not think about (or sometimes even care about) how decisions made today will effect tomorrow. This paper is to inform the reader of the effects of students dropping out of high school. Included will be effects on the individuals, their families, and society.
