“Workaholics Vs. Alcoholics”

There is great majority of people that suffer from an addiction such as “Workaholics” and “Alcoholics”. Workaholics and Alcoholics share some similarities and differences .These addictions, as many others out there in the world ,dominates someones life completely which causes a harmful environment for everyone around them. The results of being a workaholic or an alcoholic can result in loss of a love one, bad relationship with children, or a family break up. With an addiction comes a lot of disappointment to not only themselves, but to the people that care for them.

To feel overwhelmed or even frightened over someones addiction is a common thing. As the addiction progresses the people around the loved one feel no hope in being able to stop them, thus making them feel hopeless. When trying to tolerate someone with an addiction, it just leaves everyone around feeling frustrated , sad , and even hopeless.

The ones that suffer the most are children of workaholics and alcoholics, they feel they are to blame for what is happening around them. It could have an effect in their lives when they get older. Children, they don’t really understand things clearly, they feel as if they are at fault, that they are the ones responsible for their parents actions. Children living with an a workaholic and alcoholic may face low self-esteem and also depression. Some might face the same addiction when they get older.

An alcoholic parent may cause a child to worry constantly about the situation at home. The child will fear the alcoholic parent trying not to upset them. The child will feel anger towards the alcoholic parent for drinking. They could also feel anger towards the non-alcoholic parent for not being able to stop them.The child will feel lonely and helpless at not being able to change the
