Women Have The Same Rights As Men To Be In The Military “Women have been serving — and in many cases dying — alongside men on the battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan for a decade” (“Equal”). Males and women were born with the God-given right to be equal. Women should be able to fight in wars because their motherhood instincts, vocal voices and their ability to rationalize situations. Everyone can perform the same tasks but some just have to work harder. Women can fight in wars just like men and they will work twice as hard. Abraham Lincoln believed all men and women are created equal and deserve the same chance at everything (Waldman, et al. 12). War has been around for many years. Typically, we can’t prevent it because the United States either makes someone mad or we help someone. The only thing we can control about war is who gets to fight. Everyone always assumes men should be the only ones fighting for the freedom of our nation, but that's not true. Women should be given the same rights as men if we want everyone fairly treated. Men usually look down on a woman's ability to fight; they don't see that the women could do more damage than them. Everyone has an opinion on who should fight for our nation. In camp zones, women can provide comfort and stability (Matloff 12). There needs to be a balance of “love and hate” in those type of hostile environments. Women can show compassion making it easier for people to be comforted during the hard times of war. These women with strong maternal instincts are able to help the regretful soldier's find a place in their heart to forgive what they have done. Having these motherhood instincts means they will do anything they have to protect their battalion. In war a women's battalion will be their babies, they will do everything they can to protect them. Mothers risk their life for their children, mothers would do the same in a battle
