Women have long been tagged to stereotypes that are related to weakness and inferiority against men. This is the perception that I, as a woman, want to change, because in reality, women can really do the things that men can do, sometimes, even better. Being great contributors during the time of war, especially inside the war factories history has proven that women they were a significant part of the workforce. It is during that time when there was a high demand for women to work in war factories and other places like farms. Women who worked during that time became one of the positive highlights of the war. However, the contribution of women during the times of battle went far beyond paid employment. Along with their role as workers in the wartime factories, they were also mothers, housewives and volunteers. Women had an all-around effort, from helping the injured soldiers and civilians to basic chores like cooking and cleaning for them (Johnes, 2015). Knowing this fact about the greatness of women during war times gave me the courage to take a stand regarding the topic at hand. As an 18 year-old senior high school student, I do not fear going in to the war factories. In fact, I am encouraged to be a part of it. It helped develop their self-confidence about what they can do (Johnes, 2015). Going into war factories is an opportunity that I would gladly welcome if offered. Although it is not a part of my plans in life, I would not hesitate to be part of it if necessity calls for it. Women had a great impact during the war, and I am sure that they would make significant contributions in wartime factories today. It is well documented that when nations started to add women to the workforce during World War I, they saw a great increase in production inside the wartime factories
