Willis Carrier invented the air conditioner which keeps us cool. Do you know what the name of the first air conditioner was? Or where it was located? Willis Carrier came from a family who fixed things. Later in his life, he started his own air conditioner company. Willis Carrier’s life invention of the air conditioner keeps us cool when things get hot. Willis Carrier’s life included a lot of interesting things. Willis Carrier was born in 1876, Angola New York. As a kid, Carrier grew up on a farm. Willis came from a family who loved to repair things. Soon as he turned eleven years old, Carrier’s mother died. Everyday after school Willis had time to play, after he had to milk the cows, and to help around the farm. Sadly, his wife passed away in 1912 at that time. The company was a small part of the Buffalo Company, Willis took some workers and his ideas, and created a new company, and in 1915 Carrier created the Carrier Engineering Corporation. The Carrier company actually helped hockey players play their games by keeping the ice cool. It helped his business, and it helped him stay successful.
