Chocolate milk is a tasty beverage available in the School Cafeteria. Many people say that chocolate milk has a lot of sugar in it, but what they don’t know is that in an entire school-year a kid that drinks chocolate milk gets only 1,240 grams of sugar in low-fat chocolate milk. Kids do need sugar to grow so some of that sugar actually helps them,also even more helps them become fit. Here are three reasons why they shouldn’t ban chocolate milk - It helps you become fit, more people will drink milk and because it’s healthy. My first reason they shouldn’t ban chocolate milk is because it helps you become fit. Most people will say that chocolate milk could never help you because of how much sugar is in it, but at our school Argonaut, our plain 1% white milk only has 2 grams less sugar than our fat-free chocolate milk-Chocolate milk 30 grams of sugar Plain milk 28 grams of sugar, so it’s pretty much the same.Did you know sugar in it repairs …show more content…

What people don’t ever notice is that our school’s chocolate milk has no fat in it, because our school serves fat-free chocolate milk. The schools whose chocolate milk was banned were selling low-fat chocolate milk instead, and it doesn’t have all the good types of fat in it, so that was one of the reasons Jamie Oliver got most of the schools to ban chocolate milk. In an Australian news clip about Jamie Oliver, a person says, “White milk has vitamin D I don’t know what that other milk has”. The answer to her question is that our school’s chocolate milk has vitamin A and D like it says right there on the top left and the top right of the carton.
