Many people think that space exploration is not worth the cost. However, it is worth the cost, without space exploration, the Dawn mission would not be possible. The Dawn mission is a satellite that it currently in orbit and is trying to discover how our solar system was formed. It is helpful to know this information because, we don’t know why each planet is how it is. There are many different different reasons why humans can benefit from space research.
For example, the human spirit seeks to discover the unknown. (Vernikos 5-6). Humans are always wondering, what if this, what if that. Humans have to discover new things or their spirit will slowly die. People can learn and discover different things in space. For example, it helps scientists …show more content…

Now we have satellites in the orbit of Earth that can tell us what the weather is going to be like and when natural disasters are going to happen. We also have satellites that create Global Positioning Systems and to create service for cell phones. Even though these are two good reasons why space exploration is worth the cost, some people think otherwise.
Some people think that space exploration is not worth the risks and cost. A lot of people think that we can just send robots and rovers into space. The problem with this is we won’t be able to tell the effects gravity has on humans. Robots can not show feelings so it would be hard to tell what gravity does to the robot. Also, most people think that it is a drain of the economy. In reality, it actually draws in more money than it spends. The total budget is just a tiny fraction of the total $13 trillion total G.P.D.
Helping scientists see the effect of human development in 0 gravity and having access to tools to help gain mineral resources is just two reasons that exploration is worth the cost. This is important because, without mineral resources we couldn’t supply jobs, use everyday items, or use the internet. Scientists being able to see human development in 0 gravity is important because, it helps us see if space is healthy for our bodies or
