Why I Want My Admission Essay

Living in the rural side of the town for most of my life made me realize how impor-tant education is and the power it holds in order to bring about change. This is one of the major reasons why an admission in a prestigious university such as yours is so crucial for me; it stems from the early days of my childhood when I looked very closely at deprivation. Although my parents were financially well off, I remember my early years growing up in my village being deeply affected by family dilemmas and an exposure to abject poverty I was surrounded by. My father passed away when I was very young, and I do not mention this fact to gain sympathy; I mention it because it made me face the gale of hard circumstances head on, as I tried to stabilize in a troubled family where my mother was my only support. Since my mother and I couldn’t move to the city alone, I had to make the best of my circumstances and got my early education from a local school called Arifwala Public School. I am proficient in speaking and writing English, Urdu, Punjabi and Siraiki, and have a keen interest and knowledge of subcontinent’s folk and classical music, literature, film and drama. I have also acted in the Arthur Miller play A View From the Bridge’s annual college play production which was widely praised. I have also written, acted in and produced various comedy scripts in native language performed at our college’s events. As I have al-ready seen during my stay in London doing Foundation, I love to spread the vibrant, dy-namic and peaceful message and sentiment of the land I belong to and this helps me con-nect and interact with other such people who value art and
