Books have been around the world for hundreds of thousands of years. Reading sounds appealing to some people but to other its not ideal to read. Some “People are interested in escape”(Carol Fitzgerald pg.1) . Being raised in a book reading environment can heavily informs the perceptive of others like non readers. Readers are raised to believe that non readers are unintelligent because they don't read book which are the key to knowledge, concentration and vocabulary. To being with, at a very young age most parents teach their children that reading is something they should be capable of. They go to school and read, they come home to read, and they watch their parents read. However some children get exhausted or have trouble reading so they end up not liking to read which they soon stop reading. By reading people are developing their concentration skills. “People live in a fast paced world where they are surrounded by gadgets feeding them words, data, status, updates, add and other information that we couldn't possibly process.It can be an overwhelming situation, but there is a simple solution. Turn off the Tv. Turn off the computer. Pick up a book. Concentrate”(Lesley Yarbrough pg.3). Books require concentration, they completely absorb the mind. Not one person could possibly understand what they are reading if they're not paying attention to the text. Readers improve their concentration skills by reading which is better for learning in school and understanding assignments. Even though readers believe that non readers are up in space not paying attention to anything it doesn’t mean they are.
