Research Paper Rough Draft Teachers and school board administrators continue to try and find ways to try and counter students cheating in classrooms but it is a still an unsolved problem.. Most teachers ask themselves why students feel the need to cheat knowing all the present resources that have become available to highschool students. What some do not know is that high school students feel immense pressure to perform by their parents or teachers at school, students feel no other way to pass unless it is by cheating knowing consequences are high for those who get caught. Cheating happens in all types of forms and in most cases, it cannot be detected by a teacher unless it starts to become very obvious. Many teachers may realize there is cheating but will not confront cheaters or they do and it does nothing. Most schools want to put out the out most reputation to make sure it maintains it’s great school motto. Many schools take cheating very seriously because it dampens the vision the school tries to install into their students. Education update states that “The best approach, say some experts, is to build a culture of academic integrity within your school”(Education Update 3). What some teachers should try to do as well as punish cheaters is to educate them and show them the support they need to know they do not need to cheat to pass the class. If a school can uphold academic integrity as a whole then, the rates of cheating would go significantly down. At the end of the day, the school administration just wants to ensure their students are learning, and they walk out of there with decent academic and life
