Do you like catching a football,throwing it, or blocking for your teammates? Football club is a great way to meet new friends and work on your game at the same time. The club provides drills to do and you can play a lot of games. There are many drills you can do including speed drills, agility drills, and strength training drills. Students enjoy the football club because it allows them to find friends, get more athletic, and in shape. They love the drills because you can compete, but at the same time you can stay in shape. Drills consist of passing, route running, throwing, and blocking. All of it depends of the position that the person plays. From past clubs, Manny people like route running, and throwing, But others enjoy blocking as well. Games are one of the main reasons people join. Most of the people are very competitive and want to win the games. Because students like getting in shape they enjoy football club. Football club is 3 days a week and and is from three o’clock to five - fifteen. We start out with a half mile run, and we all have to finish under ten minutes. Next, we stretch. Stretching is key to not hurting yourself. If you do not stretch you can pull something, or even worse tear a muscle. Next is going over routes and technique of the position. There are many rules to 7 on 7 which are, no blocking a person, no tackling, And no flag guarding. But first the captains of the club has to choose their team. We start with a combine to let the captains see who’s the fastest, or who’s the highest jumper. Next thing we do is the draft. This is the choosing stage where the captains choose who they want on their team. After everyone is assigned to a team, the teams practice and make up plays to prepare for the games.
