There has always been a habit of following people around or doing what others do. People like to depend on others to set examples or give them on advice on things they cannot decide on. The habit of following trends is one that many have studied. Many want to know why people do something just because they see other people do it, or why someone thinks something is cool just because a celebrity said so. It is not a complicated reason, but it is not a simple one either. I read many passages and learned why many people follow trends. Rather it be to fit in, because others do it, or to try to find out who they really are. The source is reliable because Phoebe Alexander is a well know name. It uses a celebrity as a source also. And she is using clips to prove her point. People look up to celebrities because they are inspired by them. They depend on them to tell them what to wear and what not to wear. They want someone to tell them that it the right time to wear something. Different celebrities influence different ages. A Disney star would influence a younger child, while a teen star or a star in their early to mid 20s would influence a teenager. But an actor or actress as old as Tom Hanks has an influence on older groups. But older groups also tend to think for themselves.
