The French Revolution was quite a time to be living in. France had a lot of events happened that changed them forever. At one point, during the revolution, France even entered a radical phase. There was huge bloodbath, called the reign of terror. It was one of the few ways that Napoleon Bonaparte was able to take control. There were many causes and changes during the French Revolution. Some of the main reasons why the French Revolution even occurred was because there were ideas of enlightenment. This was known as the French Enlightenment. During this time period there were quite a few philosophers with quite a few ideas. In the beginning, 1685-1730, Francis Bacon believed that knowledge was power. Thomas Hobbes created the founding thoughts on the democratic theory. There were a couple philosophers that focused on the Scientific Revolution including: Galileo, Kepler and Leibniz. It let to the making of democracy and nationalism. There were a lot of ideas during this time too. Liberalism, socialism and nationalism all were aftereffects of the French Revolution. It gave individuals the thought that if they attempted, they could rearrange a society at whatever point it was needed. The best legacy of the French Revolution, then again, was that individuals could change anything that they needed with political thoughts, words and laws. In 1792-1793, France entered a Radical Phase. This was because the National Assembly announced war on Austria as an approach to make solidarity in France. They then turned control over to the Committee of Public Safety, which utilized the war as a reason to free the country of any gatherings battling against the unrest. These gatherings included nobles who wouldn't acknowledge the transformation, war profiteers, and criminals. The radical stage then transformed into a free-for-all, as old grievances and wrongs were retaliated
