The Great Gatsby is based upon two main men, Nick Carraway and the mysterious and incredibly wealthy Jay Gatsby. The story follows Nick as he travels through the 1920´s and learns about the wealth of Gatsby. There´s this big love triangle. Nick loves Jordan. Tom loves Myrtle. Daisy loves Tom. Gatsby loves Daisy. George loves Myrtle. It´s quite the romance. At the very end, there is a tragedy that falls over the characters. Gatsby has an untimely death and of course the book tells us who kills him. Who was really responsible for his death? Was it really George Wilson or was it some other factor? All characters have something to do with Gatsby´s death. I believe that all characters except Gatsby have something to do with his downfall. Daisy was

It was that last act of gallantry that cost him his life. In a mad rage the husband of the woman Daisy ran down killed Gatsby. It was only then that the truth that Gatsby’s new life was superficial came to light. His so called friends were users. His love affair a farce.
