Terrorism is to use violence to reach political purpose. It includes acts of unlawful violence and war. Africa is the second-largest and second-most-populous continent. There has terrorism in about 16 countries in Africa, which is a serious problem. The reason of people involve in terrorism may caused by poor education system, poverty, and religion.
Education is an important factor to cause terrorism in Africa. The education in Africa is poor and the education rate is low. The top ten countries with worst literacy rate in the world, nine of them are in Africa, such as South Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia. The literacy rate of Somalia does not reach even 40%. As lack of education, people can not determined what is right and wrong. The extreme Islamic groups or terrorists may take advantage of people’s lack of education and ignorance, to recruit them into their groups or armies. Terrorist groups are constantly looking for recruits among the illiterate and ignorant.
