As the night winds to daytime, the sun’s rays met my eyes through my window. I finished sewing one of my latest creations. Not to brag, but the hand sewing job is one of the best I’ve done so far, matching thread color to the color of the poly fleece’s fabric color.
What is this creation you might ask? Ha-ha, well it’s none other than a toy duck. A guy in his late teens making a toy duck, what’s the deal with that? Random things interest me, whether it’s designing something in Photoshop, brining something to life in person, or even a mix of both. At the end of the day I like to use my hands to make things, that doesn’t break the bank that is.
I lived in a pretty cramped apartment, but it suited my needs. It has a toilet, thank god. I have decent sized monitor, keyboard, etc. It has window to see the sun in the sky, among the various buildings, which sometimes block the sun. I try to keep my apartment clean, but fail. It mostly consists of crumple up papers of drawings, flyers, or articles, 5 years too old, along with scattered bits of fabric and plastic. Usually has the smell of spray on deodorant, and other aromas of that nature, out of fear it may smell bad.
Wasn’t I doing something? Oh, yea I was getting ready for class. I packed up my stuff and headed to the street for the public bus, nearly knocked over my Spider-Man movie Blu-Ray collection, thank god I didn’t. Stereotypical geek? Maybe I am, so sue me.
I made my mental checklist to make sure I didn’t forget anything.
Pen check, homework check, books, check, bus money, check, phone check. Looks like I’m all set.

I treaded up the complex to my apartments, just relishing at the thought of sleep. I didn’t have a very good mindset when I was tired, mostly a depressed and helpless mood, but after I get a long period of sleep in, I get in to a hyper daze, which I would use to complete either homework, or my various personal projects.
I got towards my bed, and plopped myself onto it, after pushing some around so I wouldn’t be paying on something break it or hurt myself.
I decided to take sports fit. I took the class to self-discipline myself in terms of physical health. I’m not obese by any means but I have a gut bigger than I want it to be, and I’m not a huge fan of my scrawny arms and weak legs either. Anyways I felt that it was a needed opportunity.

Specifically, college students are reported as to be suffering more than other entities from working odd hours, long studying sessions, excessive eating & drinking habits as well as taking periodic naps whenever they can during the day. This case paper is about Lucinda, a 20-year old single female, who suffers from the Cleaning/Contamination Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) condition since she was very young. She is characterized by intrusive thoughts, images, and/or impulses that cause distress (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors that are performed to neutralize these intrusions (Coles, Schofield & Pietrefesa, 2006), i.e. her repetitive cleaning and washing behaviors. Her anxiety became so excessive that it interfered with her daily life. She perceived that some undesirable object(s), in this case the germs, were still on the things that she will come in contact with, even after she had repeatedly washing and/or cleaning them. Her anxiety further degraded both her social and occupational functioning, which resulted in considerable impacts to herself, her friends and family. In additions, her anxiety also caused her not be able to function to her fullest potential academically and to socialize with her friends and family as much as she wanted to.
I signed up for classes such as AP Biology, Medical Microbiology, and Physics in order to strengthen the scientific backbone I know I will need for a career in this area. Nutrition, I have learned plays a big part in our life. To be honest I was clueless about how much nutrition affected our everyday lives. I love going to the gym working out, now that I know what should go into my diet I think I will see a lot more improvement. I occasionally follow the latest diet fads because I believed it would be better for my health, but in turn it really hurt more than it helped! This Diet Analysis project has been extremely useful course because I can personally relate to it and can use much of the information learned to my daily routines. Regardless of the time period, a college student must be well rested in order to perform at his or her best in terms of physical performance, memorization capabilities, and test-taking abilities. Also, without adequate sleep, the person will be more susceptible to illnesses, both mental and physical. In conclusion, I believe that sleep deprivation among college students is extremely common and has a direct effect on how well that student performs or feels.
