Neil Noddings said, “The main aim of education should be to produce competent, caring, loving, and lovable people.” We often look at education as a means to an end, just adding designations and credentials to our business cards. The idea that it is just a stepping stone towards the security of employment. We all cram our minds with intellectual concepts, formulae and everything else we can to achieve the goal of being well-educated. However, what it means to be well educated in reality, all comes down to perspective and context. A 10-year-old child living in a third-world country would consider a 10-year-old in Canada well-educated. A homeless man on the street might consider a 5th grader to also be well-educated.
