I believe that the most misunderstood aspect of these type of crime is how this crime affects a society and how we can contribute directly or indirectly to these crimes. What I mean is that if we don’t know the law, we become victims, and we indirectly contribute to the crime. Not because we want to, but because we don’t know how the law works for companies and governmental departments. In order to avoid more crimes, we as a society should be more inform on how this agencies and companies should be running and report what we see wrong.
However, there are crimes we will not even have a clue they are happening because we are not involved in any way with those companies or agencies. Those involved that know what’s happening might not talk, because they have been intimidated and they fear to lose their job or, that other negative events might happen. Once again they might not know that they are law that protects them (Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2012) or simply not even that is a resource for them. …show more content…

That’s one thing that makes these crimes dangerous (money and power of a few) as well as the punishment imposed on them that are too light compare to the act committed. As in classicism theory in today’s crime, punishment should be in accordance with crime for punishment to work. Let take the example I offer in my post of the Deutsche Bank that was only fined for 2.5 billion when its action was over 10 trillion. Although the US Department of Justice is seeking for more than that, they are still allowing this bank to have business here for what, for them to commit another crime, maybe bigger than the first
