The representation of Hitler as the squander bug was another attempt at dehumanizing Hitler. The ‘Squander Bug’ was designed by the employee of the National Savings Committee. The ‘Squander Bug’ was almost a subtle caricature of Hitler sometimes referred to as Hitler’s pal. It was a bug like character with characteristics of Hitler such as the hair lock and had swastikas all over its body. Other than the devilish expression the bug also has huge menacing teeth and horns (figure.1.67).
