There are many different Greek gods, each representing a different realm and possessing unique personality characteristics, both positive and negative. Everyone has traits that are similar to at least one god or goddess. Personally, I see similarities between myself and the goddess Hera, as well as the god Apollo. Hera is the wife of Zeus, who is the leader of the gods. One of her positive aspects that I see in myself is her supportive and nurturing attitude. She is not only supportive to her husband, but also others. I also think of myself as extremely supportive of the people I care about. We share an aspect of our personality that can be seen as positive, but if looked at in specific situations, could also be seen as negative. I like things to be organized, and done in a specific way. I have a bookshelf in my room that is organized by authors last name, my closet is organized by different styles of clothing, and I go through and sort things in my room on a regular basis. I also always like to have a plan when I am doing anything or going anywhere and I often make lists so I can check things off as they’ve been done. This can be a very good thing. I almost always know where things are and I am able to get everything I need to do done. This can also cause some problems. I like to be in control of situations and am easily frustrated when others don’t cooperate or do what needs to be done. I get stressed when things aren’t planned and when I don’t know exactly what needs to be done. Obviously not everything in life can be perfectly planned and prepared for, so this personality trait often causes me unnecessary anxiety.
