Weight training can be very beneficial to the health of a human being. People weight train for many different reasons. It can be for a sport, for a better appearance, or inside health. Better appearances can be how someone is looking or their shape when they go to the beach and their inside health can be the flowing of their blood or ways to improve their cholesterol rate. The requirement that a person could start weight training is ages 13-14. These ages are key to start because weight training can put a lot of stress on the body that certain ages could not handle and damage their body. Weight lifting can help burn fat, reduce risk of diabetes, and fight depression. Weight training can be a great stress reliever which can positively effect the dimensions of wellness. According to a 2014 research from UCLA “The greater your muscle mass, the lower your risk of death.” Weight training will have us feeling better our bones will become stronger and durable. Many athletes live in the weight training room for that reason. Weight training does not have to be done at a gym either; dumbbells can be used in the house when having free time. Because weight training is good for the heart it links to longevity. With all of these benefits it is important that there is a type of rhythm when working out or lifting weights. All of my workout schedules will provide your body with 2-4 days of rest every week. By giving your body at least 2 full days of rest from weight training, your body will have ample time to recover from your workouts. Giving your body the right nutrition and sufficient rest will maximize your ability to build new muscle and prevent your body from becoming over-stressed. Every exercise needed for full body development is included in my workout schedule. As stated above, the more days you can devote to weight training, the better the results you will achieve – as long as you are giving your muscles at least 2 full days of rest from weight training every week.
The health benefits can be categorized into two categories; physical health and mental health. Physical health starts with losing excess fat or gain muscle, to helping with endurance/stamina, preventing disease and muscle loss, and strengthening bone and muscle density.
