The story of Jonbenet Ramsey was a case that was unsolved for years. There are stories, interviews and a couple movies out there that are each different in their own way. The book We Have Your Daughter by Paula Woodward was the story in detail from police reports to the written ransom note. Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist Paula Woodward started reporting on the day after the young girl was found dead. For the past twenty years Woodward has gathered new evidence, conducted unrestricted interviews, and pored over available fact and document concerning the murder. When I had read the book, it really made me feel like I am investigating the crime myself, you feel like a detective wondering why this happened to the young child. In fascinating detail it gives enough information for you to make up your own ending. That was in fact her goal writing this book, and that is why I found it interesting, the information in this book wasn’t too terribly gory, but it was quite emotional reading this. The author said she didn’t want to go forward with the project until John Ramsey would cooperate, she wanted all sides of the story so perhaps she can make her own conclusion. She quotes him as telling her, "If you find Patsy or I were complicit, go ahead and write it." and so she did. He gave her in detail what he would do if he found the killer, she was taken back as said in the first few pages of her book. “I want him to suffer, just as my daughter suffered, I will show no remorse.” He stated and so she thought I will write this book to help the idea of John and Patsy to be shown
The Jonbenet Ramsey case has remained unsolved for twenty years now, and I realize, it might not ever be solved, but I do have a theory. My theory involves three different things, the build up, the murder and the cover-up. In the end, I do not think that there was an intruder that broke in the house, the evidence just doesn’t add up to that. I feel as if somebody in the family killed her, and the Ramseys covered it up. If you go even deeper, John Ramsey could have compensated John Mark Karr to take the blame, and to get some of all of the post-murder weight off of his chest. In order to find who killed J.B.R., we have to look into the Ramseys’ lives first. We know that the Ramseys had money, a lot of it. When the news of Charles Lindbergh Jr. kidnapping, a media craze broke out and the world was in shock. This case attracted more journalists and reporters than World War I had many years ago. At first demanding $50,000 and then rising up the ante to $70,000 which made front-page headlines and news around the world. Patsy and John Ramsay filed a missing child’s report this morning. After finding out that JonBenet was missing, the Ramsey’s found a ransom note that demanded $118,000 in exchange for their daughter's return. A few hours later, they ended up finding their daughter dead in the basement. According to Biography, JonBenet “had a skull fracture and had been sexually assaulted and strangled with a cord. According to the coroner’s report, Ramsey died in the early morning hours of December 26, 1996”.
This book had me on the edge of my seat considering I did not hear about anything about this Columbine incident until a class talk and as I started to read this book. I could not understand how the police, Eric’s dad, the friends and family could not have suspected anything from Eric and Dylan. First there was the the police report about Eric's website that was filled with information about Klebold and Harris’s missions and pipe bombs was taken by police but nothing happened. “ This Web page refers to ‘missions’ where possible criminal mischiefs have occurred.Curiously, Burgess made no mention of the pipe bombs, which seems far more serious,” (185). The web site of Eric’s that demonstrated the powerfulness of the bombs, yet Officer Burgess never wrote about the pipe bombs which Eric could then have gotten interviewed or questioned about his pipe bombs and missions. Then there was the one of how the boys friends knew about their guns and pipe bombs but had no idea of the plan of “Judgement Day.” They knew that they were armed with guns and pipe bombs but thought nothing of this. This seems oddly suspicious to me along with many others how they knew this information but the friends of Eric and Dylan thought it was okay.This made others come to the

News broadcasts, magazine and newspaper articles, and television specials all shaped and molded peoples perceptions of this beautiful child’s murder, especially her parents, John and Pasty Ramsey’s involvement or lack there of. The police and FBI’s merciless quest to connect Jon Benet’s murder to her parents, seemed to cause the them to overlook important evidence, or at the very least dismiss suspicious findings that would otherwise send red flags to investigators. There has been many unsolved murder mysteries, and one of them is the case of Jonbenet Ramsey. The case hasn’t been solved for over twenty years. There have been many theories about the case, one of them is The Intruder Theory. The Intruder Theory states that someone broke into the house and murdered Jonbenet Ramsey on that infamous christmas night. There has been enough evidence to support that theory. In 2008 DNA was found to show that it was not anybody from the family. Though many believe that her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, and brother, Burke Ramsey are responsible for her murder. So many theories, yet none were answered.
When Deborah was only sixteen she became pregnant with her first child by Cheetah and boy she liked when she was younger. Cheetah and Deborah got married and then had their second child. Deborah became very unhappy in the marriage because Cheetah started drinking and doing drugs. He started abusing Deborah. Cheetah pushed Deborah so much she almost killed him if it wasn’t for Bobbette. Deborah’s brothers Sonny and Lawrence were doing well except for Joe. Joe was another case. Joe went to the military, and the family was hoping that would do him good; but he came out worse than when he went in. Joe was threatened and beaten up by a boy named Ivy. Joe was in so much rage he went and stabbed him and killed him. Joe eventually turned himself in to the law, was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced fifteen years in prison.
The murder of JonBenet Ramsey was very shocking and caused a huge investigation that is yet unsolved. Family was one of the things that contributed to JonBenet’s murder. JonBenet Ramsey is a very special six-year-old girl with a successful family. She was a little pageant girl with blond curly hair and blue eyes; she was a very well known competitor since she had won many pageants (SV;SV) (Schneider). Her mother, Patsy Ramsey, was a former beauty queen; her father, John Ramsey, was a millionaire businessman (SV; SV) (Bardsley, and Bellamy).
Maryclaire gave a lot of details about how the girl was abducted and she explained what happened to the kidnapper. When Christina Regusters kidnapped the girl, “she posed as three different people to trick the blindfolded child into thinking a man committed the sexual assault.” She took full responsibility for what she did, so she “did not testify at trial.” She also did not report that anyone else was involved. Also, Maryclaire described how the judge thought of it as, “a horror show, being taken away from a parent, stripped naked, placed under a bed and tortured.” No child should have to go through this. In the article, it gave a brief background on the kidnapper which is also a strength. Christina told a psychiatrist that, “she had been abused and neglected as a child and raped during a 2012 home invasion.” The only weakness this article had was not giving enough information as to why Christina Regusters did this to the 8-year-old girl. Also, there was not a lot of information stating if the kidnapper already knew the 8-year-old prior to the kidnapping and why she chose this little girl out of everyone else in the
As a father, the thing I want most for my daughter is that she find a suitable romantic partner who treats her the way she deserves to be treated. Her romantic partner will not have to be perfect in my eyes, for it is not primarily my place to fall in love with him as she does. However, my job is to guide and help her through life, so their are a few characteristics that my daughters romantical partner will not pertain to. Characteristics such as dishonesty, irresponsibility, if he is uncaring, or self-centered. To me, these are the wurst kind of qualities in a human and are immediate deal breakers when it comes to the type of person my daughter will date.

The media showed video clips of JonBenet practicing for her pageants and the video clips disturbed many of the viewers. A new year had just arrived. I can still picture January in my mind, the mood was sullen and dark, I could feel the cold reaching my bones, but now I know that was the best feeling I‘d ever had. I had only a few weeks left to start college, which had been my dream since I can remember. My dad had already paid for my tuition, I was so exited I had promised to do my best. Then, I realized there was an obstacle in my way. I knew I needed to make a decision on whether or not keeping my pregnancy, it sounds rough, but it was definitive.
