The New York City Comprehensive Waterfront Plan: Vision 2020, at the time of its production, presented the next steps for planning and developing the New York City’s waterfront. Following the 1992 New York City Comprehensive Plan, which was the first time in the history of New York that a long-range vision plan was created for the entire city shoreline, the 2011 plan rethought the water’s edge as a place not only for commercial and economic purposes but for people and community as well.
As a result of the city’s 1992 comprehensive plan, the waterfront has been greatly improved and the public continued to show interest in the provision of a productive and accessible waterfront. While there were many improvements,

Investigating the Geographical Processes that are Affecting the Physical and Built Coastal Environment There are three geographical processes that are affecting the physical and built coastal environment, they are; erosion, deposition, and transportation. Erosion is the group of natural processes, including weathering, dissolution, abrasion, corrosion, and transportation, by which material is worn away from the earth’s surface, this is mainly caused by wind, running water, and waves breaking on the coast. Deposition is the depositing something or the laying down of matter by a natural process. Transportation is when sand is moved along the coast by long shore drift. At North Cronulla beach erosion is evident.
The suburb of Pyrmont on the shores of Sydney Harbour has been transformed by the processes of urban renewal into a thriving cosmopolitan residential area, an efficient and sophisticated business centre, and a popular recreational and tourist hub. Through my own observation of the Pyrmont area, I have seen how the painstaking urban planning efforts for the area have come to fruition, and a focal point of the Harbour foreshore created as a result of this.
I believe that we should continue with construction on the Rio Salado Project because of all its benefits to the valley area. The plan I am proposing is comprehensive of many plans already proposed since Rio Salado was first an idea over 30 years ago. The difference is that my plan combines the positive features of many different plans to make a new one. This includes ensuring that Town Lake provides a safe environment for all activities, providing flood control, encouraging development along the river, promoting recreation, improving the regional quality of life, attaining the economic benefits of the area, while still maintaining the historical content of the area.

On December 14, 2015, the city of Dutch Harbor was founded in Alaska by Adam Nguyen and Jackson shell. Dutch Harbor was built on a semi- flat land with a bay in the center of the city, Dutch Harbor city have two mountain on the West and one mountain on the east of the land. The climate in Dutch Harbor is usually cold and some of the time is warm.
The process of manufacturing a land sailor began with researching sailing, how a land sailor works and what allows for a land sailor to perform well. From the research it was found for a land sailor to maximize performance the land sailor has to be as lightweight as possible but not too light that when applied with wind the land sailor would topple over. In addition to the land sailor, the sail had to reach 45 degrees to the source of the wind where beyond that point the land sailor would not move. Also with the sail battens needed to be used to help keep the shape of the sail and to prevent the sail from flapping uncontrollably.

The United States Coast Guard are dedicated men and women who put their lives in danger to protect the United States and the people. The United States Coast Guard was founded by the Government on August 4, 1970. The Coast Guard is a section of the United States military. The Coast Guard are the first to respond to many accidents on the ocean surrounding the United States and on big waterways. They also protect United States ports and waters surrounding the United States. The Coast Guard has a lot of history and many surprising facts about itself.
Whenever attempting to plan for any certain aspect of a city for development, it is very important to consider many of the attributes of urban planning. In order for a city to be successfully constructed, certain elements to the planning must be enacted. The General Plan for any given city is important to consider while in the process of constructing it because of all of the many revisions, alterations, and changes that the plan undergoes in order to lead to the final product. The municipality that is Tempe, Arizona is only one city of many that uses a General Plan in order to help understand their planning designs so that further construction may continue successfully and with little difficulty throughout the process.
The Atlantic City Boardwalk is a place I look forward to going every year. Each summer my family and me travel to Atlantic City, New Jersey and have the best time of our lives. Swimming, windsurfing, and shopping are just a few of the things to do while visiting the boardwalk. The sight of it is breathtaking, and the mouthwatering food always makes my day.The Atlantic City Boardwalk has intrigued me with the ocean, its many people, and its excitement.
Brian Johnson- “Marina City came from the two honeycomb towers from downtown Chicago, we were really influenced by it, because the guy who created Marina City, was looked down upon, his ideas were something that people thought weren't really possible to put the two towers together they way that he did. He wanted to create a city within a city, and he went ahead, with those ideas anyways even though those people thought he was dumb and now the Marina City towers are national landmarks in downtown Chicago, so we took inspiration from that and we thought it was really cool, we’re a band, that people are kinda like, Oh, you’re still trying to do that band thing, that's kind of dumb, why are you doing that? And were just going ahead and doing it anyways, and hopefully we can be national landmarks in Chicago. That kind of thing, so that’s where Marina City comes from."
Sitting on the site of the former Florida tourist attraction, Circus World, in Haines City, Boardwalk and Baseball came to life as a result of Orlando-based textbook publishers Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovich desire to be a part of the theme park and entertainment business, in 1986. Feeling that the circus theme was losing its luster, HBJ closed the property and immediately started a complete makeover into a vintage, sports-themed entertainment park.
