Warner brothers is a fully united, broad-based entertainment company and is a global leader in all shapes of entertainment and their related businesses across developing media and platforms worldwide. The fully cohesive, broad-based company stands at the crossroads of every feature of the entertainment business from television and home entertainment, feature film and home entertainment production and worldwide circulation to DVD and Blu-ray, digital distribution, animation, comic books, product and brand licensing and broadcasting. Warner Brothers began with the four Warner brothers Albert, Sam, Harry and Jack. Pioneers in their own way, the Warner brothers brought synchronized sounds to movies for the first time. They came up with the first four-legged star, refreshed the movie musical, created what was known as the gangster picture era, and produced a large amount of important films that drew attention nationally and awareness about enormous problems in their times. Sam continually asked to put sound in the movies and harry finally accepted but to only be used for background purposes only.
