Walt Disney Essay

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! Every Sunday night at seven p.m., this song would come on all over the country. The Mickey Mouse Club a legendary T.V. Show. Mugs, Shirts, Toys, Posters sold. One man started everything. That very special man’s name was Walt Disney.

A little boy named Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents, Elias and Flora Disney were very hard workers for their 5 Children. Elias worked at a Jelly Factory, while his wife Flora worked as a homemaker caring for all of her children.

As Walt grew, so did his Imagination. The more famous he got the more ideas and dreams he could make a reality. Working out of his Uncles cramped garage, in the sweltering California heat was over. Walt had begun a new chapter in his life. Now receiving countless Oscar Nominations, and being eulogized for his many movies and cartoons. Where up to this point in his life he had many role models and people he looked up to, now he was a role model to many people. Walt Disney impacted the lives of many aspiring filmmakers, and changed the movie industry.

Walt Disney brought a whole new meaning to Film. I am going to show you how he made this possible. Walt impacted the movie industry by adding color and sound to cartoons. He created a whole new kind of Animation. Reality to Cartoon, by doing this he added a live person to a cartoon. Filmmakers wanting to pursue cartooning may be very interested in my paper.

Walt did something not many people could do. He changed the world; not only by drawing up a little mouse with large circular ears, but creating a Fantasy a child could live day to day.

Walt had accomplished so much in his life, but the only thing left was a family. At his brother, Roy’s Wedding he met a woman named Lillian Bounds. Walt was the Best Man and she was the Maid of Honor. Instantly a spark had ignited between them. They were married in Lewiston, Idaho Lily’s hometown. Following the marriage Walt and Lillian had two beautiful daughters, Diane and Sharon Disney.

In 1932, Walt Disney won his first Academy Award for his production of Flower and Trees. Winning an Academy award is no small prize. Accomplishing this only boosted Walt’s self-confidence, and his ability to make even greater things.

In December of 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in Los Angeles.
