The age to be fully legal is 18 , but this isn’t an appropriate age at all and neither are the other age restrictions for other things you do in the world like join the military , drink and vote. There are so many things to take under consideration when trying to figure out the correct age to be called an “ Adult’’ . You have to be open minded about a lot of factors that come into play but still strict at the same time to.Now days most teenagers can be responsible and know wrong from right but then again others just act out just because and maybe because a lack of discipline. Voting is something we should take under consideration for what is the right age to be called an adult. The legal voting age now is 18 but should that still be the correct age ? “Age to join the army is 17 - 35” (Today’s Military) this shows how young you are able to be to join the military. The military is something very important and serious so the age to join should have very much meaning behind it and not just because 18 is the legal age or 17 with consent of a parent “Each branch of the Service has different requirements. Minimum entrance-age requirements are 17 with parental consent or 18 without parental consent ” ( Today’s Military) . The age to join should be at least 21 just because you're still young and 21 is enough time to take to know for sure if that person wants to join seriously.
