Diseases that were commonly found in children less than two generations ago have quickly became almost non-existent thanks to vaccinations. Vaccinations have been an extensive medical achievement and have continued to shape modern human development. In order for vaccinations to be successful and eliminate disease-causing agents, they must stimulate our immune system’s production of antibodies that identify and destroy these organisms that are already in our bodies. The purpose of vaccines are to provide immunity against one, two, or even three diseases that continue to attack our bodies. Vaccines are a safe and effective way to keep our bodies as healthy as possible. There are a variety of vaccinations that are available for a range of ages and also for pets; however, I have chosen to focus on the importance of getting vaccinated as an adolescent. They are carefully measured, tested, and watched to make sure that they are safe to put into vaccines. As a result, I decided that we need to get routinely vaccinated. Before conducting my research, I had not decided whether or not we should get routine vaccinations from birth through adolescence. Regardless of the reasons that say to not get vaccinated, I believe that getting vaccinated is our safest choice. We need protection from many different diseases and vaccines are the best option. I found that vaccinations are very effective, use safe ingredients, and stop the spreading of many diseases. Vaccinations not only prevent many diseases, they stop them from spreading to our friends, families, and communities. In the United States alone, vaccinations have helped lower the number of cases of many life-threatening diseases by 99%. If you want to help the United States and the world conquer these life-threatening diseases, then you must do your part and get routine
