Utopia Z: Recreation
Besides being able to live comfortable and easily, the people also have
a lot of recreation to do, with in Utopia Z. All of the recreation, is located
in the recreation dome, which is located between the Construction Plant, and the
Hospital Dome.
The Recreation Dome is filled with different activities, such as
artificial ski-mountains, a swimming pool, and amusement park, an ice arena, a
playground, a football field/track, a bungee jumping station, and a large field
for miscellaneous activities.
One of the biggest attractions in this dome, is the artificial ski-
mountains. These mountains are constructed with sturdy steel frames, and with
artificial snow. This mountain is equipped with chairlifts, and three different
ski-runs designed for different skill levels.
The dome also has an extra large swimming pool, equipped with many
slides. This pool is designed to fit in as many as 1,000 people. The swimming
pool can also simulate tidal waves. And aside of that, it has a whirlpool, and
a steam room.
For the kids' amusement, we have put in a mini-amusement park, which
contains a couple of rollercoaster rides, a Ferris wheel, and many other rides,
designed for children and adults of all ages. Along with that, the amusement
park, also has many carnival games.
Beside all of that, we have the football field, which also includes a
track for running. The football field includes a computerized refereeing system,
which will run the game, and also keep track of the score.
Another big addition to the Recreation Dome is the built-in Ice Arena.
This Ice Arena also has a computerized refereeing system. But besides that, the
Ice Arena is pretty close to the modern ones we have today, along with a couple
of little improvements.
The dome also has another little addition, the playground, which is
specially designed for the younger kids. This large playground is pretty close
to the ones we have today. This playground maintains and cleans itself, which
makes the playground sanitary for the kids.

The jobs relate around the station, business's offer products and services which
people on the station are in need of. Employers pay there employee's by way of
upgrading there "card". A computer is given to the employer from a government
official, which is used to upgrade the employee's "card". The way the "card
system" works is; when a peron purchases an item/service, the person who runs
the business scans the buyer's card through a computer, imprinting the amount
spent into the card's memory. At the end of each month, it is mandatory for
every citizen to bring there cards to a government agency, and pay off there
debts.
Jobs related to the space station (ie. Litter picking), which are not
claimed by a 2 star citizen, are assigned to a 1 star citizen by a government
official.
Private property can be purchased through a long and slow process by
filing a report to a government agency, stating what you would like the property
for, for how long, etc.. Private property may be used for building homes for
citizens with 3 stars or higher.
The multi-purpose arena that I have chosen to evaluate is Boston University’s Agganis Arena. This arena is considered to be the next generation of Boston sports and entertainment by incorporating the latest multimedia technologies and providing the finest possible sight lines and views of the action. The arena is located within Boston University's new $225 million John Hancock Student Village, a 10-acre hub of activity designed to be the thriving center of student life and athletics, Agganis Arena is a state-of-the-art, multipurpose sports and entertainment center scheduled to open in January 2005. A 290,000-square-foot premier venue with 6,300 seats for hockey and ice shows, the Arena is expandable to over 7,200 seats for concerts, sporting events, and family shows.

Overall he kept to a romanticized 1930's version of the Roman theme, with decorations that span three centuries. Looking at the rest of his "castle" leads one to believe that Hearst combined whatever he thought was impressive. This pool is truly impressive.
In Utopia, one has to apply to the authorities and get their permission to visit other towns as well as to start the journey which cannot take longer than the time given to one. Even though the official permission is said to be given easily –“If you …would simply like to see the town itself, you can easily get permission to go there.”¹⁴ - it still is given by a certain authority, whose existence necessitates some regulations to human lives. In other words, if there is permission, there also is limitation. And in the existence of limitation, there has to be two sides: the ones possessing the power to authorize and the ones being subjected to regulations set by the others.
Before reading Utopia, it is essential that the reader understand that like Jonathan Swift’s, A Modest Proposal, Utopia is satirical. In my essay I will discuss the differences between national cinema and Hollywood cinema by using Rio de Janeiro¡¯s famous film City of God. There will be three parts in my following main body, the first part is a simple review of the film City of God, I will try to use the review to show the film structure and some different new points from this, show the how did the ¡®Shocking, frightening, thrilling and funny¡¯ (Nev Pierce) work in the film. The second part is my discussion parts; I will refer some typical Hollywood big name films such as Gangs in New York, Shawshank¡¯s Redemption, and Good Fellas to discuss the main differences between City of God and other national films. The City of God is based on actual events that occurred in Rio de Janeiro during the 1960’s and 1970’s. The movie is about the rise and fall of a fearsome sociopath gang leader Li’l Ze, who reigned as king of the drug lords during the 70’s. The first part of the movie illustrates some of the forces that mold Li’l Ze into the man he becomes, while the second half shows his ruthless leap to power, followed by the war he wages against opposing gang leaders Carrot and Knockout Ned. The film is narrated by Rocket, a photographer who exists on the outskirts of Li’l Ze’s circle of dominance and control. In the film the city is filled with ruthless acts of delinquency and is basically in chaos. There are two theories that I would like to discuss in relation to the city’s unusually high criminal acts.
