The homeless hotspots scenario taken place in southern United States has posed many questions based on morals, ethics, and values. The agency contacted the local homeless shelter in which 13 people accepted to work for 20 dollars per day, receive a t-shirt and business cards, and keep donations. The experiment raised many opinions on the matter; opposing thoughts towards the Wi-Fi Agencies actions, and supportive opinions based on this action. The main question posed by this scenario is whether or not the homeless hotspots idea is moral. When there is a dilemma that affects a group of people, actions by the right people can be taken in order to make the issue morally acceptable. The issue regarding the minimum wage could be resolved by the Wi-Fi Agency itself. As employees being public displays of publicity, they should be getting paid at least the minimum wage in order to meet labour law standards and demonstrate that the agency is not about greed in order to draw in more customers. Having a video and article based on the agencies efforts to bring homeless people to or above the poverty line would bring in more customers than a story where mixed opinions are presented. Other options to resolve the dilemma presented would be to relieve these people of their duties but keep paying them as a sign of respect. This would demonstrate customer service in the agency as they would be looking after the individual as their job duties entail. A public statement could also be stated by the agency apologizing for the scenario and an explanation could be said regarding people’s thoughts on the scenario being degrading to the individuals hired. Based on the definition presented, one can decipher that no person works well when it comes to dilemmas. This is because there is no full proof option for success, making it hard to choose an alternative. “When resolving moral dilemmas one is presented with two or more actions, all of which you have the ability to perform.” (What Is a Moral Dilemma, 2015?). Based on the hotspot scenario I would choose to relieve the homeless employees of their duties and remain to pay them the 20 dollars per day. I would do this as I feel it is the moral solution to the dilemma presented. Both sides would receive values from this action. The homeless person would not be degraded against and the Wi-Fi Agency would create customers through this moral action. When scenarios are presented with mixed opinions from the public, one can conclude that a dilemma is taking place due to its content. Based on moral obligations, the action to coming to a solution should be moral in order to solve the issue in the best way possible. Other ways may seem more logical but result in more consequences down the road. All in all, one should use the model for decision making when dealing with such case
