The urgent care process in the Northport VA has been around before the War in Iraq or Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) has begun. The Fasttrack is open to all Veterans that receive care or benefits through the VA health system. Fasttrack is the same idea as urgent care but it takes place in the VA emergency room which could be problem right from the start because the ER has tremendous overhead costs. Costs that is much steeper than any normal operating urgent care facility. It will also put someone that is coming in for a chest cold at the bottom of the list to be seen if someone is coming in for chest pains.
