An evaluation plan helps the participants to improve the performance and their efficiency. An effective evaluation plan would result in improved personal growth. It would also help in the development of the interactions due to the growth in social and intellectual skills. Academic institutions need to develop a quality evaluation plan that would help acquire and maintain satisfactory academic performance. It involves creating suitable communities for learning across all the academic discipline. This will involve neighborhood outreach, community revitalization, planning, and international collaboration. It also involved increased quality and number of academic programs. The urban academic village evaluation plan provided opportunities for the student internship, collaboration of multi-level between the urban community, and the academy. It also gave an opportunity to professional mentorship and neighborhood outreach. It changed the campus experience of the freshmen by the help and support of private funding (Rudley, p. 3). The evaluation plan would maximize graduation rates and retention rates. The evaluation design used by the Texas Southern University Campus was an appropriate instrument to use for the program. It was under study as it showed to be focused in making the campus a suitable environment. This program enhances collaboration of the district schools in the same area, and it was to improve the school's academic performance. They identified this group as the target population because they needed to improve the academic experience of the freshmen. They chose this group because it records the highest number of drop outs in the school (Davis, p.17). They focused more on the competencies of communication, and information literacy by improving their speaking, writing and reading skills. The goals and objectives of the campus are to provide higher education of the best quality. The most essential objective was to ensure that their students improve their performance. Apart from them improving their academic performance, they were also focusing on how they would develop emotionally and intellectually.
