I am currently applying for the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at University of Michigan. When I was young, I have dreamed of going beyond the boarders of my hometown, eager to explore the rest of the world. My spirit of adventure only grows along with time. As mentioned above, I would like to step into places for volunteering work. I believed I am made to improve and care for those in need, not for anything but I believe I am responsible. It is known that U-Mich grants students great programs under The Michigan Difference. If I am able to be accepted as a student at U-Mich, I would like to participate in the Undergraduate Research opportunity Program under the LSA. Providing post-trauma counseling is not for a short period of time, even now, the Japanese in Fukushima need psychological therapy after the nucleic explosion triggered by the tsunami in 2011. Despite the extended period of time needed, I believe I am determined for what I would like to do. I hope my effort could arouse people's attention in providing help to those in need, to put their feet in others shoes. Even so, there is a broad field of study under the branch of Development, Psychopathology, and Mental Health (DPMH), yet I specifically interested about the attitudes and persuasion aspect of social study. According to USNews, social psychology of University of Michigan has always been ranking the first. Research under attitudes and persuasion aims to investigate the relationship of how the attitude changes behavior or perhaps behavior influences attitude. It is mesmerizing of how to be persuasive, once we could get a good grip on how to persuade people, their minds could be easily manipulated.
