She told him to take another bath and he did. Tom didn’t always go to school and played a lot with his friend Huckleberry Finn. The kids from town weren’t allowed to play with him, because he was a bad mannered boy. Then a new girl came to school: Becky Thatcher. Tom fell in love with her, but she ignored him.
Early in the book, Tom and Huck witness a murder at a graveyard, and the town tries to convict an innocent man of the murder, only they know the truth, and use their friendship to prove an innocent man innocent. Later, the friends find a haunted house where Injun Joe, the true murderer, and an accomplice of his are stashing treasure. Finally, Tom and his love Becky get trapped in a cave and Injun Joe is following them to kill them. This is when Tom finds the treasure, escapes, and gets rich with Huck. The friendship of these two characters can get them through anything.
During Christmas time, Scrooge’s father left him at the boarding school and never brought him home like all of the other kids. As a result, Scrooge grew to up having a miserable a Christmas every year and would often wish he had company other than books. For a kid that went through lonely Christmases, it made sense when something like this made a person dislike
Later, Muff Potter is accused of murder yet Tom stands out and tells the truth out of conscience. Thus, he becomes the hero of the town but Injun Joe flees. Once more, Tom and Huck adventure to a haunted house for buried treasure, where they encounter Injun Joe who disguises as a deaf and mute Spaniard and dig out the gold without noticing the boys. At a town inn, Huck traces Injun Joe and comes across Injun Joe¡¯s plan to kill the kind Widow Douglas, who is then saved thanks to Huck¡¯s foretelling of the evil plan. Meanwhile, Tom and Becky go picnic in McDougal¡¯s Cave where they go lost and Tome sees Injun Joe.
But against my every envisagement, the serial killer came by himself to Duncan to get his lost diary back in the lost and found department. This made the chills run through me as he came at the time I didn't expected. This brought the sudden climax in the story making me even more anxious that even though Duncan has found the serial killer, how will he ever stop this killing machine. And finally at the end when the serial killer was chasing Duncan down on the subway tracks, they both get hit by the train creating more anxiety in my mind that how will Duncan ever survive this kind of blow. But in the ending he survives and the serial killer dies, thus creating a happy mental picture in the end.
Samuel Langhorne Clemens Samuel Langhorne Clemens or commonly known as Mark Twain was an American writer and humorist. Twain’s writing is also known for realism of place and language, memorable characters, and hatred of bad faith and oppression. Clemens was born in Florida and then later on moved to Hannibal, Missouri, a Mississippi river port, when he was four years old. There he received a public school education. After his father died in 1847, Clemens was assisted to two Hannibal printers, and in 1851 he began contributing sketches to his brother Orion’s Hannibal Journal.

The boys' mother was depressed and had a drinking problem. His mom never paid much attention him and left him by his self quite often. The mother would tell the boy that she could not stand him, and she wishes she never had him so her life would be better. The child would tell himself constantly that he is a bad boy, and he would cry in his room alone. The six year old would pack his own lunch before school then walk two miles before arriving to school.
His family were very religious, but did not agree with organised religion. This meant that they never went to church and did all their worshipping at home. Blake was always an outsider and he refused to join in with his brothers and sisters. He had visions of angels and God when he was young and he often thought that this was normal for children of his age. This is shown in “The Chimney Sweeper” when he says, “As Tom was a-sleeping, he had such a sight!
Injun Joe and Muff Potter were graverobbers. Joe and Huck saw Injun Joe killing Doctor Robinson with Muff’s knife, then put the knife back into Muff’s hand and told him that he was a killer. Later, Muff was caught by the police. On the trial day Tom told the judge the true testimony, so Injun Joe fled away. They were all afraid of Injun Joe.
