You rarely win, but sometimes you do.” There have been many heroes in our past. There have been heroes that help those in need or heroes who make the world a better place for everyone. A hero has many qualities, like being brave, standing up for what is right, and helping others. Heroes are very important to us because they make us feel safe and secure. A hero will always be there for you. Heroes are usually always brave. It takes bravery to do the right thing. It was very brave of Rosa Parks to have the courage to say no when a white man asked her to give up her seat. Her bravery caused a huge civil rights movement and helped to end racial segregation. Not everyone can always be brave, but heroes are always brave in the hardest times. They always make everyone around them feel safe. Standing up for what is right is never easy because it may hurt many people. It could be much easier to do the easy thing and not stand up for what is right. Heroes always do the right thing. It may be telling the truth about something that has happened or hanging out with the kid that does not really have many friends, but whatever it is, it is not easy. The most common one for kids today is talking to the person who usually does not have any friends to talk. It may not seem like it, but just by doing that makes someone a hero to that person. You may get made fun of, but a hero will never hesitate to do the right thing. People love heroes because they always do the right thing even in tough situations.
