The Titanic Maiden Voyage was a disaster, because at the time it was the largest boat in the world.The Titanic was thought to be unsinkable, she was described as as a gigantic lifeboat. There was 2,201 men.women,and children on board A lot of people died (about 1,503) on the terrible disaster of the titanic. This could have been avoided, but the speed was too fast so slow down for anything. The whole was ignoring the distress of icebergs and that's why they crashed. Its sister ship was closest (The Californian) the radio handler had fell asleep. The lifeboats were not even filled up but they didn't even wanna save the lower class. The carelessness of the crew and the Captain was also a major factor of why this was a disaster. If the captain would paid attention would have listened to the Californian and the Baltic.
