I have never really been interested in Theatre. It’s not that I hated it or anything, I just didn’t know about it. Growing up I had never taken a Theatre class or been involved in Theatre so I never took the time to actually learn anything about it. After being in this class and learning new things about how theatre came about and the different aspects that go into it, I still wouldn’t say that it interests me but now I feel as if I have a much better understanding of it. With that being said i’m honestly extremely enthusiastic about seeing Love and Information. As stated before Theatre is something that has never really interested me before. So,for me it started off as just some boring, assignment that I was forced to do for class. I was excited to see it ,but I was also prepared to just go into the auditorium, take a seat and just zone in and out for 90 minutes and just summarize what I saw. For the first 5 to 10 minutes I sat back with my chin in my hand staring at the stage but as the show went on, I slowly noticed myself getting more and more into it as I found myself leaning forward focusing on what was happening. I was not expecting to find it interesting but the way that it changed from scene to scene was unbelievable. One moment two kids were in a face off over who loved a guy more and the next, a couple are sitting at a table having a chat. It was really quick and it got your attention though, for someone like me who doesn’t know much about Theatre and has never been strong in the area of reading and analyzing plays, it was a bit hard to follow along and i was slightly confused at times.However, despite being confused I really enjoyed seeing the students perform. A scene that I thought was interesting was when the “older sister” revealed to her “younger sister” that she was actually her mother.
