I have chosen to discuss the White Aryan Resistance or WAR This group was established as a spin-off to the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and was founded in the 1980s by a former KKK grand wizard Tom Metzger. From its formation to the activities that their members engage in, WAR has the typical coding of a gang. I defined a gang in our week one discussion as a group of three or more individuals that join together in the pursuit of criminal activity. Also, from our reading we have learned that many gangs throughout history have formed under the umbrella of protecting their ethnicity or race. In both cases, WAR fits the bill on the definition of a gang. Their formation is center around the idea that the white race is being attacked and all nonwhite people
