DEMONS:The Song Which Has Influenced Me The Most
When I initially decided to write an essay about my favorite song,I thought it was the most easy task.After a lot of contemplation i chose the song 'DEMONS' by Imagine Dragons.It was released on January 2013 and it was a huge commercial success. The reason why i chose this song is not because it is one of my favorite tracks but the meaning it had to convey was powerful and also we all have demons within us.
From the first time I heard the song,I felt that it had a beautiful message to convey to people. The song conveys that as humans ,we all have demons within us which we are not proud of and we keep them hidden away from our loved ones. It tells us that it is common to have a demon within us, those demons can be jealousy ,anger,depression or something else.

When the situations and dreams goes wrong, it is then when people show their true colors and act like they are made of gold. Those truth are bitter to take and then we feel like giving up .Sometimes when we feel helpless , we tend to look up to some people we think are good and in the end we will unknowingly start to follow their footsteps and those people can be a bad influence in our lives. Another powerful line that have influenced me is "Look into my eyes,it's where my demons hide". It is said that eyes are the window to mind ,lots of people try to hide their feelings and emotions but when we look close into their eyes we can see the pain in their eyes. We can see the demons hiding behind the eyes . People try very hard to latch the demons within themselves rather than letting them attack their loved ones. There is another line written by the writer" but with the beast inside there is no where we can hide',these lines try to tell us that despite how much ever we try to hide the demons, it is the human nature to explore evil
The song “Ants Marching” by Dave Matthews Band has several connections to Fahrenheit 451. For example, the line “cut, cut on the fence not offend” (Dave Matthews Band) directly ties into the book. People in the Fahrenheit 451 society are so fastidious as to not offend people that they lose the power to change lives through knowledge. These citizens have cut off their ability to truly understand others and the world around them the minute they tossed the first book into the crackling orange-and-red blaze, sparking a nationwide holocaust of valuable lessons and ideas. Another example of this song’s correlation to Fahrenheit 451 would be none other than this quote in part one: “You ask why to a lot of things and you wind up very unhappy indeed,
American Beauty/American Psycho was an album that was sung by the band Fall Out Boy in 2015. Fall Out Boy is an alternative/indie rock band with a little hint of pop in some of their songs. This album, which is the band’s most recent album, is full of a lot of good songs and songs that maybe some people wouldn’t like. Fall Out Boy is a face-paced band, which means their songs are faced-paced. A lot of their songs could be a little hard to understand for people who don’t listen to this kind of music. The album does not have many of these types of songs, which is why it is a favorite among Fall Out Boy fans.

Macklemore begins with “When I was in the third grade I thought that I was gay, / 'Cause I could draw, my uncle was, and I kept my room straight. / I told my mom, tears rushing down my face.” In just these first couple of lines, the listener is easily able to understand what the song is about, and also comprehend the stereotype that is associated with gays and lesbians. The listener is given the equation that Macklemore made up when he was younger; he added the stereotypes that were given to gays: being artistic, having a gay relative, and being tidy. By following these fashions, he assumed that he was gay as well. When Macklemore states that tears were rushing down his face, it gives even more awareness to the negative connotation that gays

I decided to expand on my Week 5 Post All About That Bass. Our assignment for that week was to analyze Meghan Trainor’s song All About That Bass and to give our opinion on what message we believe the song lyrics and video provided the public with. In the song “Black Balloon” by the Goo Goo Dolls, there is a very deep meaning that many listeners don’t hear with the first listen. Black Balloon is a song about a woman's losing battle to addiction. The Goo Goo Dolls make the song very upbeat but with a very heavy message. Lead singer John Rzeznik, wrote this song about a friend who overdosed on heroin.
In essence, this song carries various sociological concepts. It concentrates on the main idea about the social construction of reality and talking about how reality is changing. The song questions the actions and mentally of individuals violating the norms and values of society. The band takes into consideration various factors of why it is happening including the media and religion. As a result they talk about such influences taking control building and developing a sense of self. This is a great song about present day problems and how society changes with them.

The Fray's hit song, 'How To Save a Life,' tells a story of a mentor, also a friend, who is trying to 'save a life' of a troubled youth. The story starts off with the teenager and this friend sitting down to have a talk about what is wrong in the teen?s life. The second line reads, 'he walks, you say sit down it's just a talk,' this showing anger and fear of what might be brought up in conversation, so he tries to run away from the problem. In “ The Arrow and the Song,” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow imagery, personification, and symbolism represent that all actions have consequences.
From the first stanza of this song, you get put into a scene. You know almost immediately that it is about someone, and it is the middle of December, but without stating the obvious, it paints a more illustrated picture for you. The first line states, “A winters day, in a deep and dark December” and I could almost immediately feel a cool breeze around me. When I normally think of a winter’s day, I think of people playing in the snow, and having a good time. This may be because I grew up in Southern California where there has been a lack of snow, but in my head, that is what I imagine. Having them state, in a deep and dark December, turns my attitudes to the more pessimistic way of looking at things. The image of children playing in the snow in my head has now turned to cold and dark emptiness. Reinstating my idea of emptiness, the next line follows with the simply statement, “I am alone”. Personally, I hate being alone. So to have the opening words place us in a deep and dark setting, and then state that you are alone, automatically puts me in a negative mindset.
This song reassures us that in a world so vast and separated, people can be brought together by love and faith. Similarly, "Dreaming of You" expresses that life can be an unexpected fairytale in which our dreams can and do come true. It paints a picture of a female/male night after night dreaming about the person she/he loves; longing, waiting for the courage to express that love.... ... middle of paper ... ... Listeners reap from this conclusion the sense of hope needed to live out their lives.
