We live in a society where the poor are ridiculed, and are not given the help they need. However, thanks to the many charities helping for no reward of their own, they get to live a better life. The Salvation Army is a not-for-profit organisation who are motivated by the love of God to preach the gospel and meet the need of humans suffering in His name. “Here in the Australian Eastern Territory, our mission is to save souls, grow saints and serve suffering humanity.” It is because of this that I believe the Salvation Army deserves the title of Charity of the Year.
