Throughout the beginning of time, there have been millions of families. Most of the families have been similar, however no two families are the same. When it comes to the lifestyles that children have it is generally based off of the way their parents live and have raised them. Whether it be a family who sits down at dinner every night or a family that never talks to each other, young children can’t decide to have change. Family situations have a crucial effect on children’s lives. Unfortunately, there are many cases where one of the parents of a child is absent. One of the positive effects includes the adult children being able to save money. The child could save for his or her own place, sleep at the house of the parents while he or she searches for a job, or stay there while he or she attends a nearby college. Arguably the most effective reason to stay at your parent’s house would be by making the decision to go to school. That way, the child can focus on college rather than working his or her hardest to pay extra bills that would be unnecessary if the child stayed at home. If the child is already in a situation where he or she do not have a lot of money, then the best investment of time would be in getting a degree. Another positive effect includes the capability of everyone in the household to bond and make new memories. One of the most heartbreaking times in parents’ lives can be watching their children leave the house, generally for college. If the child is fortunate enough to have the college located near his or her parents’ house, extra time can be spent together as a family. Although this may not be the case for every home it could be a possibility. A child living with his or her parents may cause stunted development in the child, which can have negative impacts. The causes include absence of a parent in a child’s life, adult children living with parents, and low income families. Each of these causes have multiple different effects, some of which are less obvious than the others. The effects of absence of a parent in a child’s life are rise to behavioral problems in children, financial concerns leading to not being able to give the children what they want, and working long hours which would mean parents being unable to spend a lot of time with children. Another cause was adult children living with parents, and the effects are adult children can save money, more memories and bonding, and a stunted development in children. An additional cause is low income families and the effects comprise of lower academic achievement, lack of nutrition, unsafe Living conditions, and family stability. Fortunately for the children, there is often times a possibility that they find their own path regardless of their upcoming.
