To me, the movie Boyhood, stuck out to me for so many reasons. The most important reason for why it stuck out to me is because it changed the way I thought about life and people. It made me realize that I should be grateful for what I have, because not everyone has the same advantages or luck that I have in life. Another reason as to why this movie opened my eyes, is that it made me stop comparing myself to others, and only worry about myself, or those that matter to me. Nobody is identical and we are all different in our own ways. The last reason this movie stays in my head is because it does an amazing job teaching you life values and showed me how someone so comparable to me can be so different. The reason why it taught me to be grateful for what I have and for who I am, is because the main character Mason was dealt an unfortunate hand of life. It follows the life of Mason, from his child years all the way until he becomes a young man, and goes to college. It shows the struggles that he faced in life, and showed how it shaped him into the man he became. It did an amazing job in teaching me life lessons. It made me rethink my life choices, and opened my eyes about the real life. When I think about it, the struggles he faced were considerably similar to the ones I have faced. I noticed this when I was comparing myself to him, which I no longer do, I saw that he was very much human like all of us. I thought Mason was an amazing character, he was independent, intelligent, and strong willed. Even when he had to face his abusive father, he remained strong and stayed himself. Personally, I think this movie would stick with most men, more than woman, considering the main plot is following the life of a boy for 12 years. This is why Boyhood has stuck with me, it taught me amazing life lessons, and improve my life
